FDP Technological Inspirations In Teaching


One Day Faculty Development Programme on “Technological Inspirations in Teaching” was organized by J.K.K.Nataraja College of Arts and Science – Kumarapalayam on 15th September (Saturday), 2018.

Dr.P.Saraswathi, Principal, welcomed the gathering. Mr.S.Ommshravana, Director, J.K.K.Nattraja Educational Institutions delivered the presidential address. He spoke on the impact of technology in education and he emphasized the fact that faculty members should qualify and equip themselves for the modern technological changes, so as to create component youths who are to shape the destiny of our country.

Around 37 participants from 6 Colleges participated in the faculty development Program, Dr. E. Ramganesh, Chair, School of Education, Professor & Head, Department of Education Technology, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, emphasized that teachers should have a special interest for every student and should motivate the students in such a way that the attention of the learner is grabbed completely. He highlighted the learning sources available in Internet for various subjects. He catalogued innumerable websites that can be used by a teacher facilitator.

Dr. S. Amutha, Assistant Professor, Department of Education Technology, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, delivered a lecture on “Innovative Teaching Skills”. She spoke on techniques of managing the classes without any stress. She highlighted the teaching skills that are to be possessed by an educator.

The participants found his lecture to be very beneficial and the function came to an end with Mrs. C. Seeranganayaki, IQAC-Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.
