On 11th August 2023, the YUVA club of J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts & Science, Komarapalayam, celebrated International Youth Day with a special lecture program aimed at empowering young individuals to manage their time and energy effectively. The event, scheduled for 2:00 p.m., was a significant occasion that emphasized the importance of balance and well-being while pursuing ambitious goals.
The program commenced in the presence of Principal-in-charge, Mrs. S. Mangayarkarasi, setting the tone for the event’s importance. Mrs. P. Gopika, the Yuva Co-chair from II M.Sc Zoology, extended a warm welcome to all the participants, creating an inviting atmosphere for the enlightening discussions that would follow.
Ms. Subhaharini from III B.A English introduced the chief guest for the day, Dr. S.V. Ramesh, an Assistant Professor of Commerce at the college. Dr. Ramesh delivered an insightful lecture on the theme “Time and Energy.” He highlighted the significance of setting clear goals, overcoming distractions, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle, illustrating how these principles can fuel not only personal success but also entrepreneurial journeys.
Dr. K. Shenkani, at the end of the program, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the student participants, resource persons, and staff members whose contributions made International Youth Day a success. The program was highly interactive, with around 92 students benefiting from the valuable insights shared.
Feedback reports were collected from the student participants to assess the overall success of the event and gather suggestions for future improvements, ensuring that each subsequent International Youth Day celebration becomes even more impactful.
The event concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem, marking the end of a day dedicated to empowering and motivating the youth to excel in their endeavors with effective time and energy management skills.
